The guest artist is usually a former student of a MAMT. Sat. Feb 25 is the rehearsal at 1:30 for everyone. Can wear jeans. You find out how you’ll be lined up, where you will sit, how to go across the stage, will get to play on the grand piano so you know how it feels. Sun. Feb 26 You may choose between two recitals 1:30 or 3:15. Very dress up! We ask that you come to the reception at 2:30 in the school cafeteria. You will be presented with a certificate of participation at the recital. Pictures are welcome after recital. No flash during performance please. Camcorders are fine. Piano Contest Fee $6 Time: You may choose what part of the day you prefer. Early AM, Later AM, or Early PM. Location: Milbank High School Please arrive 10 min before your time and you may go when you are done. You will perform 1 or 2 solos for a judge and an audience. A judge will write comments on how you did and sometimes will talk to you. You will earn a ribbon and certificate for performing. No camera flash allowed. You must have an original copy of solo(s) with the measures numbered to give to the judge. The Music Boosters will be selling food and drink in the lobby to raise money. |
